We don't make compromises here at ShowKayce Akitas. We strive for Type, Bone, Substance as well as Temperament. We want a show dog, but our Akitas must also be able to function as beloved pets in our Very busy home.

My love for the Akita Breed isn't new but spans many years of admiring them and studying after owning my first one in 1997.

After my first Akita had to be euthanized do to Addisons I really wanted to wait for the right Akita to use as my foundation bitch.

Well Patience paid off and in Sept. '08 I flew to Ontario Canada to look at a litter of puppies that my good friend and Mentor Cheryl Vanderlinde (SheBogi Akitas) had out of her Best In Specialty winning Bitch who she had bred to Keith Venezia's (Nakodo Akitas) Stunning male Zac!

I brought home SheBogi's Fly'N High ShowKayce. She is everything that a person could want in a Foundation Bitch. "Jet"; has bone, substance as well as type and the most wonderful temperament. She has just enough white which really enhances her dark coat.

We are active members of the Akita Club of Puget Sound and are on the Fundraising Committee. We held a photo shoot in February which was a great success with all proceeds being donated to Akita Club of Puget Sound. You can view some of the photos HERE!
